From the Richard and Judy bestselling author Sarah Hilary. The phenomenal Marnie Rome returns in the outstanding follow up to the critically acclaimed SOMEONE ELSE’S SKIN.

Two young boys.

Trapped underground in a bunker.

Unable to understand why they are there.

Desperate for someone to find them.

Slowly realising that no-one will…

Five years later, the boys’ bodies are found and the most difficult case of DI Marnie Rome’s career begins.

Her only focus is the boys. She has to find out who they are and what happened to them.

For Marnie, there is no other darkness than this…

I was a big fan of Sarah Hilary’s crime fiction debut novel ‘Someone Else’s Skin’ but it’s always a concern for readers (and I’m sure the author too) when faced with the challenge of that ‘second book’ in a series. Expectations are high, readers of her first book will be eagerly awaiting the second case for DI Marnie Rome and her team, and for the author it must be a nail-biting time awaiting feedback once the book is out there in the wild.

But fear not – readers and author alike – for, with ‘No Other Darkness’, Di Marnie is given room to grow in a compelling story which quite literally delves down deep into the crime she is investigating. With an, at times, claustrophobic story, it will pull you in, hold you tight, drag you through pretty much every emotion – let’s face it, any crime book that has young children at its centre will do that – but you will step back out of the darkness, eventually, blinking into the light as I did and with one thought in your mind – ‘when’s the next Marnie Rome book due out?’

A second step in what promises to be a long-runner of a series and one that would transfer perfectly to the television screen in the future too.

Most definitely an author to watch.

My advice would be to stock up on supplies (which will mean more after you’ve read it) and snap up your copy at amazon HERE.
