The first review….

Well, Deadline, my collection of seven short stories featuring DI George Haven, has been out on kindle for a little while now (unleashed on 19th December) and, whilst I’ve been very pleased to see a fair number of downloads occurring, that moment of awaiting any reviews to come in has been a bit of a worry.

And then, this morning, in a perfect start to the week, I received a tweet to let me know that the first review was in.

It’s a very nice one and a four star one, so here it is, and now I should get back to work….…

The next big thing…

There’s this blog meme thing going around, as I’m sure most of you are aware.

I’ve been nominated to talk about myself and my first book for a little while by Luca Veste of Guilty Conscience.

I’ll tag in three more writers to watch at the end.

What is the working title of your book?

‘A Long December’ – it’s had that title for a few years now, that and ‘A Murder of Crows’ for a New York set crime novel both came to me around the same time. I do like making lists of possible titles and the fact those two kind of link in to one of my favourite bands, Counting Crows, helped a fair bit too.
